Wise Use of Time
On her recent visit to Barbados, Mrs. Charmaine Antoine [nee Rouse], a former Head Girl our The Ellerslie School and Human Resources Specialist, willingly accepted Principal Andrea Baptiste's invitation to share some words of wisdom with some of our female students.
Mrs. Antoine inspired the girls to stay focused and to make wise use of the time they have left at school.
Ellerslie draw with CCFS
A hard-fought draw vs CCFS yesterday. Ellerslie started the game completely dominating and the pressure paid off in the 6th minute when Nathan Mascoll won a penalty and Joshua Payne scored. They continued the pressure and were unlucky when Shezek Scantlebury's goal was ruled out for offside. CCFS then started to grow in the game and a missed kick from a goal kick gave them the opportunity to equalize. In the 2nd half, both teams had chances but Ellerslie had the better chances as 2 goal-line clearances from CCFS stopped them from getting the 2nd goal. MOTM performance from Richard Burke impressed everyone including the CCFS coach and Kebra Bruce also put in another strong performance and were the stand-out players. The draw made it a little bit more difficult to get promoted, however their next game vs Harrison College on November 15th is a must-win.
Ellerslie defeats Deighton Griffith by 106 runs
Terrel Sargeant top scored with and amazing 62 runs as The Ellerslie School set up a target of 159 runs and demolished Deighton Griffith - winning by 106 runs.
